THE INTENTIONS OF THE ROSARY

PLACE FOR INTENTIONS

--------------------

(if you have already prayed the nine-month novena

to our Lady of Guadalupeby Cardinal Leo Burke - you can move forward)

O Virgin Mother of God, we fly to your protection and beg your intercession against the darkness and sin which ever more envelop the world and menace the Church. Your Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ, gave you to us as our mother as He died on the Cross for our salvation.

So too, in 1531, when darkness and sin beset us, He sent you, as Our Lady of Guadalupe, on Tepeyac to lead us to Him Who alone is our light and our salvation.

Through your apparitions on Tepeyac and your abiding presence with us on the miraculous mantle of your messenger, Saint Juan Diego, millions of souls converted to faith in your Divine Son. Through this novena and our consecration to you, we humbly implore your intercession for our daily conversion of life to Him and the conversion of millions more who do not yet believe in Him. In our homes and in our nation, lead us to Him Who alone wins the victory over sin and darkness in us and in the world.

Unite our hearts to your Immaculate Heart so that they may find their true and lasting home in the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Ever guide us along the pilgrimage of life to our eternal home with Him. So may our hearts, one with yours, always trust in God's promise of salvation, in His never-failing mercy toward all who turn to Him with a humble and contrite heart. Through this novena and our consecration to you, O Virgin of Guadalupe, lead all souls in America and throughout the world to your Divine Son in Whose name we pray.

Amen.

--------------------

(You may add your own intention/s - we only offer a suggestion)

Let us pray for:

For all Souls in Purgatory.

For all Souls who have died during the pandemic.

For all Souls who have died for our freedom.

Requiem æternam dona eis Domine

- Et lux perpetua luceat eis -

Requiescant in pace

Amen

We pray for reparation of the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

We pray for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Queen of the Holy Rosary, who vanquishes all heresy as we pray for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

We pray for the intercession of St. Joseph, Patron Saint of Universal Church and Terror of Demons to protect Our Mother Church.

We pray for protection of our bishops and priests and for the preservation without restrictions of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum in the Church through the unity of the Latin rite in our respective languages and cultures.

Please give strength to all good priests and bishops who have been "cancelled" by the hierarchy.

We ask for priestly vocations and vocations to Holy Orders.

We pray for conversion of people who have lost Faith.

The grace of God will be our comfort.

NOW THE GLORIOUS MYSTERIES COMMENCE

Mysteria Gloriósa

Traditionally prayed on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday

(Normally prayed from Easter Sunday to Pentecost)

(exeption Sundays of Christmas season)

On the Crucifix of Rosary:

One begins by holding the Crucifix of the Holy Rosary, kiss it, do the sign of the Cross and pray:

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti, Amen.

Credo, (still at the Crucifix of the Rosary).

The Church is a mystery in as much as in her visible reality there is present and active a divine spiritual reality which can only be seen with the eyes of faith.

Credo in Deum Patrem omnipotentem,

passus sub Pontio Pilato,

crucifixus, mortuus, et sepultus,

descendit ad inferos,

tertia die resurrexit a mortuis,

ascendit ad caelos,

sedet ad dexteram Dei Patris omnipotentis,

inde venturus est iudicare vivos et mortuos.

Et in Spiritum Sanctum,

sanctam ecclesiam catholicam,

sanctorum communionem,

remissionem peccatorum,

carnis resurrectionem,

vitam aeternam.

Amen.

Pater noster    (First Pearl after the Cross)

The Word of God communicates the mystery of salvation.

Through the Lord’s Prayer, we are therefore aware of our being sons of the Father in the Son.

Pater noster, qui es in caelis:

sanctificetur Nomen Tuum;

adveniat Regnum Tuum;

fiat voluntas Tua,

sicut in caelo, et in terra.

Panem nostrum cotidianum da nobis hodie;

et dimitte nobis debita nostra,

Sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris;

et ne nos inducas in tentationem;

sed libera nos a malo.

3 Hail Mary

(The three Cluster Pearls, pearl 2-4, are the Divine Virtues Fides, Spes et Caritas (Faith, Hope and Love)).

Mary becomes the mother of Jesus, she gave herself entirely to serve the mystery of redemption, by God's grace.

Ave Maria, gratia plena;

Dominus tecum:

benedicta tu in mulieribus,

et benedictus fructus ventris tui Iesus.

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei,

ora pro nobis peccatoribus,

nunc et in hora mortis nostrae.

Doxology  (the single Pearl right before the Connecting Medallion)

The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of the Christian faith and of Christian life, and it is the source of all the other mysteries.

Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto.

Sicut erat in principio,

et nunc, et semper,

et in saecula saeculorum.

Amen.

Fatima prayer (Card. Burke prays it right here)

The 3rd apparition of our Lady of Fatima, 13 July 1917: When you pray the Rosary, say after each mystery;

O mi Iesu, dimitte nobis debita nostra,

libera nos ab igne inferni,

conduc in caelum omnes animas,

praesertim illas quae tua misericordia maxime indigent.

Next Step is the Connecting Centerpiece (Medallion)

Primum mysterium Gloriósa   -  the First Glorious mystery  -

Resurréctio a mortuis  -  Resurrection of Jesus Christ  -

(Mark 16:1-8, Matt 28:1-6)

(We do the Sign of the Cross    Fides    Spes    et    Caritas   which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

And when the sabbath had passed, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint him. Very early on the first of the week they came to the sepulcher, the sun having risen.

And they said among themselves:

Who shall roll away for us the stone from the door of the sepulcher?

And looking up they see that the stone had been rolled away; for it was very great.

They entered the sepulcher and saw a young man, sitting at the right side, clothed in a white robe; and they were amazed. He says to them:

“Be not amazed.

You seek Jesus the Nazarene who was crucified;

he has risen, he is not here: see the place where they laid him.”

And going out they fled from the sepulcher; for trembling and astonishment had seized them; and they said nothing to any one, for they were afraid.

(Acts 1:4-12)

(We do the Sign of the Cross    Fides    Spes    et    Caritas   which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority.

“you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you,

and you shall be my witnesses, both in Jerusalem and to the end of the earth.”

And when he had said these things, as they beheld, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said,

”why stand looking towards heaven?

This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven,

shall so come in like manner as you saw him go into heaven.”

Tertium mysterium Gloriósa   - the Third Glorious mystery  -

Descénsus Spiritus Sancti   - The Descent of the Holy Ghost-

(Acts 2:1-12)

(We do the Sign of the Cross    Fides    Spes    et    Caritas   which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, the disciples were all together at the same time.

And suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a rushing, violent blast, and filled the whole house where they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues like fire distributing themselves, and it sat on each one of them; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

All were astonished, saying:

”And how hear we, each one in our own language?

How hear we them speaking in our own tongues,

the mighty works of God?

… What can this be?”

Quartum mysterium Gloriósa  -the Fourth Glorious mystery -

Assúmptio  -Assumption of Mary into Heaven-

(1 Thess 4:13-1)

(We do the Sign of the Cross    Fides    Spes    et    Caritas   which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren,

concerning those that have fallen asleep, that you sorrow not as the rest also who have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,

so also those that have fallen asleep, will God through Jesus bring with him. …

the Lord himself, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trumpet of God, shall descend from heaven,

and the dead in Christ shall arise first …

to meet the Lord in the air. so shall we always be with the Lord.

So then comfort one another in these words.

Itaque consolamini invicem in verbis istis.

Meditation of the fourth Glorious mystery, the Assumption of Mary into Heaven.

Quintum mysterium Gloriósa      - the Fifth Glorious mystery -

Coronátio in Caelo   - Mary is Crowned Queen of Heaven -

(Rev. 12:1, 14:1-5, Isa 6:3, Jud 13:18-20)

(We do the Sign of the Cross    Fides    Spes    et    Caritas   which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

And a great sign appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;

And I heard a voice from heaven like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder; and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps.

And they sung a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one was able to learn the song, …

And in their mouth was found no guile;

for they are blameless.

And one called to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy

is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”

Sanctus, sanctus, sanctus Dominus,

Deus exercituum;

plena est omnis terra gloria ejus.

AT THE CONNECTING MEDALLION

CONCLUDING PRAYER BEFORE THE CROSS which concludes the Wreath for a fruitful perfection

Oratio ad Finem Rosarii Dicenda

The Rosary is a perfect wreath!

We have now reached the connecting medallion which unites our intentions and prayers

On the medallion, we pray Salve Regina, and the Marian hymn may be sung at the end of the Rosary;

Orémus:

Salve Regina,

Mater misericordiae,

vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra, salve.

Ad te clamamus, exsules filii Hevae.

Ad te suspiramus,

gementes et flentes in hac lacrimarum valle.

Eia ergo, advocata nostra,

illos tuos misericordes oculos ad nos converte.

Et Iesum,

benedictum fructum ventris tui,

nobis post hoc exsilium ostende.

O clemens, o pia,

o dulcis Virgo Maria.

V. Ora pro nobis, sancta Dei Genitrix.

R. Ut digni efficamur promissionibus Christi.

Orémus:

Let us pray:

O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection,

has purchased for us the rewards of eternal salvation.

Grant, we beseech Thee: that while meditating on these mysteries

of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,

that we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise,

through Christ our Lord.

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti, Amen.

ADDENDUM II

The Pearls of the Rosary Lead us to the Cross of the Rosary

- Let us, like Virgin Mary, stay at the foot of the Cross -

LET US PRAY AT THE CROSS OF THE ROSARY:

Let us pray for the Papal intentions and let us pray for our Holy Father N.

R: May the Lord preserve him, and give him life, and make him blessed upon earth,
and deliver him not up to the will of his enemies.

(The Raccolta ed 1898, N0. 33, p. 562)

May Thy hand be upon Thine holy servant and upon Thy son whom Thou hast anoited.

Lord Jesus, shelter our Holy Father the Pope under the protection of Thy Sacred Heart.

Be Thou his light, his strength and his consolation.

As per request from our Holy Father on 29 Sept. 2018, the Rosary shall end with:

Oremus:

Sub tuum praesidium confugimus, Sancta Dei Genetrix.

Nostras deprecationes ne despicias in necessitatibus,

sed a periculis cunctis libera nos semper,

Virgo gloriosa et benedicta.

Let us pray:

We fly to Thy patronage, O Holy Mother of God;

despise not thou our petitions in our necessities.

but deliver us always from all dangers, O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.

Oremus:

Sancte Michael Archángele,

defénde nos in prælio;

contra nequítiam et insídias diáboli esto præsídium.

Imperet illi Deus, súpplices deprecámur;

tuque, Princeps militiae cæléstis,

Sátanam aliósque spíritus malignos,

qui ad perditiónem animárum pervagántur in mundo,

divina virtúte in inférnum detrúde.

Let us pray:

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;

be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.

And do thou, O prince of the heavenly host,

by the power of God

thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits

who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti, Amen.
