Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen

Sancte Michael Archángele,

defénde nos in prœlio;

Miraculous Medal Prayer

Medal of Our Lady of Graces, The Raccolta, ed. 1910, #255

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

O MARIA sine labe concépta, ora pro nobis, qui ad Te confúgimus.

THE OFFERING PRAYER

OF THE ROSARY FOR THE DECEASED

incl. Blessed Eucharist Prayer, our lady of Fatima on 13th May 1917

Eternal Father,

I offer you this Rosary,

by Immaculate Heart of Mary in union with her Son,

Jesus Christ's precious blood,

as thanksgiving for all your good deeds,

according to Jesus' Sacred Heart intentions;

for all grace and blessing

that will make us close this beloved Heart

in life, in death, in time and eternity;

for the sick; the dying;

for the conversion of sinners and for the souls in Purgatory;

for those who have asked for our prayers

and we are obliged to ask for and the family's intentions,

to You, God, may all lead to your greater honour

and glory and a glorious death for us all.

Amen.

O Jesus,

it is for love of You,

for the conversion of sinners,

and in reparation for the sins committed against

the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Today we pray a Holy Rosary in memory of

Pope Benedict XVI

We pray that Mary will intercede with God that Pope Benedict

may have eternal rest with Him forever.

O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful,

give to the souls of Your servants departed the remission of all their sins, that through our pious prayers they may obtain the pardon they always desired.

To you, O Lord,

we commend the soul of Your servant Pope Benedict XVI.

He is dead to this world. May He live in You.

And whatever sins He may have committed in this life

do You in Your most merciful goodness forgive.

Lord Jesus, You are the Resurrection and the Life.

You comforted Martha and Mary on the death of their brother Lazarus.

Console now those who are sad at the death of Pope Benedict,

our brother in Christ.

V. Eternal rest grant unto Pope Benedict O Lord.

R. And let perpetual light shine upon Him.

V. From the gates of hell,

R. Deliver His soul, O Lord.

V. May the souls of all the faithful departed,

through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

R. Amen.

V. O Lord, hear my prayer.

R. And let my cry come unto Thee.

We beseech You, O Lord, to help the souls in Purgatory

whom You have redeemed with Your Precious Blood.

Just like Pope Benedict XVI’ managed to restore the traditional Latin rite,

We ask for His intercession,

for The Church, particularly for The Priesthood!

Merciful Lord Jesus, grant Him everlasting rest.

(Pie Iesu Dómine, dona ei réquiem sempitérnam)

May the Divine Mercy rest upon all of us.

Thereafter (still at the Cross) pray Credo, the Apostles' Creed.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,

                                    Let us kneel

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,

                                    Let us arise

suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty, from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.

Amen

Credo in Deum Patrem omnipotentem, Creatorem coeli et terrae.

Et in Jesum Christum, Filium ejus unicum, Dominum nostrum,

The prayer to Our Father is inserted into the mysterious mission of the Son and of the Ghost.

By the three first petitions (of the seven), we are strengthened in faith, filled with hope, and set aflame by charity. Christ himself is the mystery of salvation. Catechesis #774, 2766, 2806.

Our Father who art in heaven,

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ    Resurréctio      (Mark 16:1-8)

(We do the Sign of the Cross      Faith,   Hope   and   Love    which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

And when the sabbath had passed, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint him. Very early on the first of the week they came to the sepulcher, the sun having risen.

And they said among themselves:

Who shall roll away for us the stone from the door of the sepulcher?

And looking up they see that the stone had been rolled away; for it was very great. They entered the sepulcher and saw a young man, sitting at the right side, clothed in a white robe; and they were amazed. He says to them:

“Be not amazed.

You seek Jesus the Nazarene who was crucified;

he has risen, he is not here: see the place where they laid him.”

And going out they fled from the sepulcher; for trembling and astonishment had seized them; and they said nothing to any one, for they were afraid.

The Ascension of Jesus to Heaven    Asénsio        (Acts 1:6-12)

(We do the Sign of the Cross      Faith,   Hope   and   love    which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority.

“you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you,

and you shall be my witnesses, both in Jerusalem and to the end of the earth.”

And when he had said these things, as they beheld, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said,

”why stand looking towards heaven?

This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven,

shall so come in like manner as you saw him go into heaven.”

(We do the Sign of the Cross      Faith,   Hope   and   Love     which both opens and closes the sequence of prayer)

And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, the disciples were all together at the same time.

And suddenly there came from heaven a sound as of a rushing, violent blast, and filled the whole house where they were sitting; and there appeared to them tongues like fire distributing themselves, and it sat on each one of them; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

All were astonished, saying:

”And how hear we, each one in our own language?

How hear we them speaking in our own tongues,

the mighty works of God?

… What can this be?”

But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those that have fallen asleep, that you sorrow not as the rest also who have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,

so also those that have fallen asleep, will God through Jesus bring with him. …

the Lord himself, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trumpet of God, shall descend from heaven,

and the dead in Christ shall arise first …

to meet the Lord in the air. so shall we always be with the Lord.

And a great sign appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;

And I heard a voice from heaven like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder; and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps.

And they sung a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one was able to learn the song, …

And in their mouth was found no guile;

for they are blameless.

And one called to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy

is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”

Oremus:

Salve Regina,

Mater misericordiae,

vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra, salve.

Ad te clamamus, exsules filii Hevae.

Ad te suspiramus,

gementes et flentes in hac lacrimarum valle.

Eia ergo, advocata nostra,

illos tuos misericordes oculos ad nos converte.

Et Iesum,

benedictum fructum ventris tui,

nobis post hoc exsilium ostende.

O clemens, o pia,

o dulcis Virgo Maria.

V. Ora pro nobis, sancta Dei Genitrix.

R. Ut digni efficamur promissionibus Christi.

Let us pray:

O, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,

Hail our life, our sweetness and our hope.

To thee do we cry, Poor banished children of Eve;

To thee do we send up our sighs,

Mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, most gracious advocate,

Thine eyes of mercy toward us;

And after this our exile,

Show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

O clement, O loving,

O sweet Virgin Mary.

V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,

R. that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

THE CONCLUDING PRAYER

in memory of Pope Benedict XVI

ICKS

God, Who, in Thine ineffable providence,

didst will that Thy servant Benedict,

should be numbered among the high priests,

grant, we beseech Thee,

that he, who on earth held the place of Thine
only-begotten Son, may be joined forevermore to the fellowship of Thy holy pontiffs.

Through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son,

Who liveth and reigneth with Thee

in the unity of the Holy Ghost,

God, world without end.

Amen.

May the Divine Assistance remain always with us,

The traditional Latin rite is our choice. Some attend Mass due to the location of the church, some attend Mass because of choice.

Commander Cross Rosary often follow texts and recommendations of Cardinal Leo Burke and Bishop Athanasius Schneider. We have studied how they pray the Rosary in Latin. We do remember and acknowledge that Pope Benedict restored the traditional Latin rite via his Summorum Pontificum. For that, we and millions of people are grateful!

The beauty with the Catholic Church is its unity, despite the versitality and diversity. Within the Church, we are one and we believe in ONE Church.

Latin unites all Catholics as it is the official Church language and all Catholics are united in a Mass said in Latin regardless of how much you understand or not. The priest works for your soul.

Latin is a sacred language as it was one of three languages nailed on the Cross.

  • Pope Benedict XVI made it clear that it is nothing that can be forbidden, by any pope.
  • It is the rite that many saints over centuries prayed.
  • All the Popes, cardinals, bishops and priests were brought up with it and prayed it too until 1970s. It is a Mass that matters.
  • There are today Catholics all over the world who are brought up with the decision and intervention of Pope Benedict XVI.
  • There are priests today thanks to the revival of the Mass too.
  • The Latin Mass had never abrogated, but it was restored. "There is no contradiction between the two editions of the Roman Missal. In the history of the liturgy there is growth and progress, but no rupture. What earlier generations held as sacred, remains sacred and great for us too, and it cannot be all of a sudden entirely forbidden or even considered harmful."

  • All people linked to the Step-by-Step Rosary Community have celebrated the Latin rite and the Novus Ordo rite, even Novus Ordo in Latin. As Latin is a sacred language, all our Rosary material offer the Latin text regardless if a user likes it, loves it, use it, never seen it or in due time wants to develop your prayer life to it. It is Holy.
    Pope Benedict XVI loved our Church. He was a good shepherd for his flock. "Pray that I do not flee the wolfs"
